Stay overnight at Negombo. Leave the office and set off to Beach hotel at Negombo, one of the major cities in Sri Lanka situated 7 kms away from the airport. Negombo Kandy via Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage After breakfast you will start your excursion towards Kandy via at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage the world’s biggest herd of domestic elephants about 90 in all ages including baby elephants and this is a very exciting site for tourists. This has been existing since 1975 and primarily designed to afford protection to the many baby elephants found in the jungle without their mothers. You can see the bottle feeding for baby elephants and elephant bath in the “Maa oya” river. Kandy Nuwara Eliya After breakfast you will proceed to Nuwara Eliya famous as”Little England” via Royal Botanical Garden – Peradeniya which is the largest Botanical Garden in Sri Lanka where you will experience exciting landscape and more than 5000 species of different varieties of flora. After that you will be heading towards Nuwara Eliya through the Ramboda pass surrounded by “Green Carpets”- hill covered with tea and beautiful waterfalls. En route visit a Tea Factory and Tea Plantation to witness the manufacturing process of world famous “Ceylon Tea” and to taste a pure cup of factory fresh tea. Visit “Hanuman Temple” on the way to Nuwara Eliya. In the evening free walk/tour around the city and visit Victoria Park , Gregory Lake, Golf Course and Market etc. Nature lovers could make a visit the Lovers Leap Water Falls just outside the city which will involve a little bit of hiking for 1 hour both ways. Nuwara Eliya Colombo Airport After breakfast proceed towards Colombo enjoying the natural beauty of this mountainous route passing two waterfalls St Claire and Devon which enrich the nature of the country. If you wish you can experience Kitulgala white water Rafting and stop near of David Lean’s award winning film “The Bridge on the River Kwaii” was shot.
